D&G Music Celebrates 12 Years Supporting Charity 'Hold The Children'

David and Goliath Music’s Favorite Charity Mission Discovery / Hold The Children

In 2008 David and Goliath Music producer David Simmons’ good friend Richard Rhode contacted D&G and asked if we would look into his new project - becoming a missionary for HOLD The Children. “HOLD” is the international division of Gallatin Tennessee based charity Mission Discovery. We agreed to support Richard’s efforts at HOLD and by 2010 he was promoted to the director of their program.

Since becoming involved with HOLD, D&G Music has sponsored the education of 2 children a year in Haiti, supported the mission of the director, and donated money towards their food pantry and the children’s annual Christmas fund. Our monthly contributions were modest but, lo-and-behold, with our 2019 year-end gift the total amount of donations David and Goliath Music has made to HOLD The Children over the years has exceeded $20,000!

Last year, after over a decade of service, Richard Rhode retired from HOLD leaving the job as director in the capable hands of Courtney Rivera. And after careful consideration, D&G Music decided to continue to support HOLD and their efforts.I hope that you will take a look into the great work being done at HOLD The Children and consider getting involved or making a contribution to their missions today!
